Neighborhoods

Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Germantown, West Oak Lane, Cedarbrook, Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls. Eight neighborhoods stitched together by Germantown Avenue, the Wissahickon, and the regional rail lines. Here is what each one is actually like.

Chestnut Hill
Cobblestones, stone Victorians, and a farmers market that runs all year.

Mt. Airy
Intentionally integrated since the 1950s, and still the most Mt. Airy place there is.

Germantown
Older than the country. Cannonball scars and all.

West Oak Lane
More space and more yard than you would expect this far into the city.

Cedarbrook
Mid-century built to last, right up against the county line.

Roxborough
On the ridge, above the Wissahickon, with the cheesesteak rivalry to prove it.

Manayunk
Mill town streets, a canal towpath, and hills that will humble you.

East Falls
Small, riverfront, and closer to Center City than people realize.
