I searched for an AGENT before I searched for an AGENCY. Alex was the person I found I most wanted to work with, based on his knowledge of the area in which we both loved, and his immense appreciation for it as well. I also regarded his savvy with social media to be a huge asset, too. I was right in my choice and he was amazing! Alex made our first appointment to meet and see the house after two emails back and forth and a phone call. He had nothing but praise my home and thought initially that it was good candidate for a fast sell, and indeed he was right. After the first showing of my two bedroom, oddly shaped home I had something 14 offers. But this wasn’t magic happening. Alex very carefully and cleverly marketed this house; first with teasers on his blog, Facebook, Twitter, word of mouth and then of course his own agency’s website as well the MLS and my go-to tool: Zillow! Once the photos were done and ads went out (an excellent photographer choice too by the way) I was hearing from friends in other states that they had seen I was moving! Alex was kind and patient with me, firm and protective with all else, while never leaving his fun, passion, twinkle-in-his-eye, and professionalism at the door. I never had a question unanswered or a worry un-allayed…and I had many. All in all, Alex Aberle was the right choice for me and my home sale, and I would and have recommended him for multiple friends and acquaintances. While in the process of waiting for closing, I convinced my next door neighbors to consider using him and they did. I trust he worked his amazing skills in that sale too!

I cannot recommend Kathy highly enough! Most importantly, she was honest and trustworthy. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the buying process (including price negotiations). She was observant in suggesting what houses would be a fit for my husband and me, without ever trying to steer us towards one property or another. She responded immediately to texts and emails, and was very flexible in scheduling showings at last minute and times convenient for us. She was always pleasant and friendly, which is helpful when you are spending hours of your weekends with an agent. Overall, working with her was a great experience.

My wife and I worked with Kathy to both sell our previous house and purchase our current house. Truth be told, I reached out to her when the house 2 doors down from us sold before it was on the market—Kathy was the agent for that property. So we had a baseline idea that she’s doing something right! Our overall experience showed us that Kathy is an absolute expert on both ends of the buying/selling experience. She listened to our wants/needs and offered her honest opinion. If she did not feel 100% confident in something, she had no problem consulting other agents in her office—I really appreciated the collaborative nature of how she runs her business. The result was an experience that was shockingly smooth. We accepted an offer on our old house within a month of going on the market, which also meant that the heat was on for finding our next house and dealing with what ended up being an expedited closing. Kathy has extensive knowledge of the contractual ins and outs of both sides of the deal, allowing her make decisions that we always in our best interest. The outcome for us is that we ended up selling our old house for a lot more than I thought we would and ended up getting a great deal on our new house. Kathy is definitely a bright spot in what is often a murky, ugly, shady and sometimes unethical world of real estate. I would not hesitate to involve Kathy in any of our future real estate transactions. I would recommend her to anyone else looking to buy or sell real estate in the Philadelphia area.

She is friendly and helpful and especially so with a couple of old people moving from a town of 4,000 to the city of Philadelphia. As an executive with a major pharmaceutical company, moving is just part of the corporate game. Kathy made this move exceptionally successful. I used Kathy as my listing agent. Kathy was patient with all of our questions and was always very responsive. I’m convinced her hard work led to an article being written in Philly.com about the charm of our home, which gave us more exposure in the market. I’m not sure I could have gone through the home buying process with a better agent than Kathy Krebs. She offered constant guidance and empathic understanding. She has a wealth of knowledge of the northwest Philadelphia area, realty processes and design. When questions came up that she wasn’t confident of the answer, she did not hesitate to say so, discuss with her team and promptly reply with a complete answer. She was always seeking to expand her understanding of her field and worked with me to understand my physician loan, a hurdle she hadn’t encountered before. Kathy has a large collection of contacts that are trustworthy and knowledgeable. The home buying process is invariably a confusing and stressful experience, particularly for a first-time single buyer like myself. I felt no unwanted pressure from Kathy at any point during the process. If you want a real estate agent completely dedicated to helping ease the process of home-buying, Kathy is your agent! Kathy’s thoroughness and ability/diligence in combing through detail are impecable. She has a heart of gold, and wants to ensure that you are being fairly and equitably treated. I loved that Kathy wasn’t pushy at all – she was there to help in every way but didn’t rush us. She listened to our desires and needs intently and chose to always go the extra mile to help us. I’d say she’s less of a “salesman” and more of a “social worker”, which ultimately is the best fit for real estate since both buying and selling are about relationships.
